    What if:

Scenario 7: What if a policy maker could promote social cohesion through collaborative, heritage-related tools to provide inclusive access to tangible and intangible cultural heritage and facilitate encounters, discussions and interactions between communities at risk of social exclusion.

    Persona

    • Goals: promote and develop digital tools for inclusive access to cultural heritage in her city
    • Background: She directs an arts NGO and is president of BJCEM – Biennale des Jeunes Artistes d’Europe et de la Méditerranée. She has been an administrator of the Directorate for Culture and Cultural and Natural Heritage of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, president of Culture Action Europe and president of the “Access to culture” platform of the European Commission.
    • Pronouns: She/Her
    • Pain points: Collecting relevant information communicated efficiently i.e. info sheets, visual narratives, summaries of case studies
    • Needs: an agile system for contacts and facts to support her case for inclusion in culture

    User scenario

Jazmine is working on a project to develop tools that will empower communities to bring together their multiple and various experiences and memories into compelling and geolocalised storylines using new personalised digital content linked to the pre-existent European Cultural Heritage. These tools will allow the communities to tell their stories and to claim their rights and equal participation in the European society. The project will deploy three distinct pilots, one in the city where Jazmine works. Jazmine is also co-leading an international campaign for the inclusion of culture in the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
