A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.

The Europeana Copyright Community’s Copyright office hours offer you a space to ask questions about copyright and digital cultural heritage, get inspired by other approaches and share your knowledge. Between March 2023 and January 2024, the Copyright Community Steering Group (Collegamento esterno) will host a series of copyright and policy office hours. Europeana (Collegamento esterno) was involved with creating this participatory platform for the cultural heritage community. The platform holds several outcomes of the inDICEs project (Collegamento esterno) - the Copyright Chart is one of them. It was created as an effort to gather community's members who are interested and involved with issues concerning IPR - and more specifically copyright - in their daily practice. Now the entire platform is available to the community to participate in discussions, share knowledge, and initiate activities. To kickstart the participatory activity in the area of copyright we have linked the platform to the Copyright Office Hours. By adding discussion topics into the DEBATES area, the contents from the online events will be made available here and enriched with more resources and insights from experts and users.
A selection of questions asked during the Copyright Office Hours will be recorded and added here, and will be addressed by the experts. With your account you will be able to follow interesting topics, participate in debates and discussions and initiate activities.
