Descrizione (English)

  • -

As a first step, we will start with a round of consultations around the themes of “IPR and value chains” as well as a deeper reflection on the underlying “business model” for Cultural Heritage Institutions. How do we experience the IPR status of our collections, and what opportunities or threats do we see in our effort to engage online with our main audiences? How can we adapt our fundamental value chain to reflect societal changes and tapping into the opportunities of online collaboration, co-creation and responsibility sharing?

  • +

This workshop aims to understand the challenges and opportunities of the European legal IPR framework for the Digital Transformation of the CHI sector. Is IP protection, copyright in particular, a curse or an opportunity for CHIs? Can new mechanisms be implemented to facilitate access and dissemination of cultural content and information by CHIs? We will report on our IPR mapping and run focus group exercises to uncover challenges faced by individual CHIs.
