Co-creating an Impact Lite Crash Course
Turning observers of impact assessments into practitioners
A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.
Informazioni su questo processo
This process aims to make it easier for observers of impact assessments to become practitioners.
The Europeana Impact Community is an open space for professionals dealing with cultural heritage who want to understand and build solid cases around the social and economic impact of sharing and using digital cultural heritage. Its goals are a continued development of the Europeana Impact Playbook (Collegamento esterno), communicating the value of impact design and assessment.
To support these goals in 2020/2021 the Impact Lite Task Force (Collegamento esterno) is co-developping an Impact lite ‘train the trainers’ course to support the growing number of impact practitioners in our community. We want to create a crash course that allows interested individuals to become impact assessment practitioners. Practitioners means that community members are able to lead ‘lite’ workshops on impact assessment and/or become confident advocates on the topic of impact in discussions with colleagues or partners when working out policies or projects in the digital GLAM sector.
The process will be performed in alignment with the work currently done in the inDICEs project (Collegamento esterno), in which Europeana and Platoniq are project partners
