You might be phoning at a busy time or due to a cancelled or delayed flight, which brings us to our second possible explanation. When a flight is cancelled or delayed for whatever reason, several individuals attempt to phone the airline at the same time for the same reason, which raises the call volume. You can then choose between waiting or attempting to connect with the airline later. Additionally, there are other ways to reach American Airlines than dialling. And if you are a member of the Elite group, make sure to contact the lines that have been set aside just for you.
