This year weâve got some new processes and changes on the platform. Last year we started the Participatory Space four months ahead of schedule to cope with the new restrictions resulting from Covid-19. But now we can say that we have since grown out of our initial platform and are on our way to creating a flourishing and sustainable platform and digital community. In the initial creation of the Open Observatory Platform it was important to understand and empathize with the partnersâ understanding of digital tools and platforms. To do this, the Platoniq team created a âGetting to Know Youâ survey as its first community engagement activity. This survey served multiple purposes. In creating the InDICEs platform and participatory observatory it was important to ask 'What is an open observatory?' And through combing the internet and drawing upon our experiences we created an abstract to try and answer that questions.
