Welcome to the third of the four workshops organised by the inDICEs project.

Our aim is to collectively define policy recommendations that will allow Cultural Heritage institutions to flourish and fulfill their public mission, through appropriately designed digital transformation. In our view, this goal can be only achieved with CHIs supporting access and the reusability of digital cultural heritage. That is why our particular interest is in policies related to the reuse of cultural assets and value chains that this reuse enables for various communities.

This session will be built around the theme of Ethics for reuse. We believe we have to consider the ethics of open sharing and the reuse of data, with the possible negative implications, stemming either from direct harm created through the sharing and resume or maximised by it. We want to discuss to what extent new technologies, especially AI, can be used in the GLAM sector to generate benefits in the public interest that are developed in an ethical way.
